Where have I been?
Hello my beautiful readers. Long time, no see!
How are my favourite people? I hope you've all had a wonderful summer, with fun, food, friends, drinks and sun by the sea!
As for me.. Well I spent my summer in a rather interesting way, lost in the beautiful beaches on my
gorgeous country, Greece!
Sounds a lot like the perfect vocation, huh?

No..
This summer was maybe the hardest time of my life so far. Not just mentally, but, I suppose mainly physically. At first at least. The same day I was done with my final exams, I thought it would be a great idea to travel in Kos island, get a work as a housekeeper and make the money I need for my weight training certification. So, I did. On July 8th, I was on my way to Kos, on a 5 star hotel. Now, I've never worked as a housekeeper before, and as most 19-year-olds today, I had no experience in cleaning whatsoever (between us, I don't even clean my own room. Let along others'). At first it was hard. VERY hard. The working enviroment wasn't very pleseant and I didnt have the right support from my supervisor or my co-workers. And for a girl who's only now starting out, this is a big deal. I'd go home and cry because I thought I'd never make it. At first, I would make errors and my supervisor would not miss the chance to point them out, in ways that embarassed me, in front of the other housekeepers . Most of them housekeepers, didn't like me, so they'd make my time there a living hell as well. They'd teach me things the wrong way, constantly be making negative comments about me and never really help me with questions I had at first.

Lucky for me, there were two ladies willing to help me make it though. Nevertheless, it still was hard. I felt bullied every day by them. My days wouldn't pass me by, no matter what. I couldn't seem to be fast enough and finish in time and when I'd get home, I'd feel exhausted. Time went by anyways and even though I died, I made it through. Besides, I got to meet some AMAZING people who made me laugh every day AND not only did I make it through the summer BUT I also work as a housekeeper up until now, here in Athens. Why? Well, I got to learn the job like the palm of my hand and since there's nothing else I can do at the moment, (I have no certifications yet), why not? I make my money and now that I'm more experienced, I no longer come back home all dead..
Oh and something even more exciting!
On October 13th I'm also starting my classes for the Weight Training Certification that I've so much craved! This makes me just so excited, you have no idea! I've been waiting for this day so impetiently! I went through hell for this school and for many moments, I wanted to give up. But I didn't give up & here I am!
I guess you could say that my experience there was a great lesson because I went though such hard times but I never let myself fall behind. You know what they say..
"Find out what's possible, if you never give up!"
(This will now be my new motto 😂😝)
So, now that I am back, I will try to keep posting more often and I'll keep documenting my journey! It's nice to be back home actually. I never thought I'd say this but it really is. That is all for me.. What did you do this summer? Any interesting stories? Any interesting shows I should catch up with? So far I've finished Dinasty, Insatiable and I'm currently watching Arrow & Maniac. Yes, I watched all that during August and a little bit of September. I assume, Netflix is just the best company!
xoxo, Ria!
